Pharmacist, philanthropist, former local government councillor and advocate for improved mental health services

Nolte is a strong advocate for the role community pharmacy plays in delivering quality health outcomes for Australians, opening his own pharmacy in 1979 in North Carlton.

He became actively involved in representing pharmacy issues to the Australian Government, taking part in the 1989 Community and Pharmacy Support (CAPS) campaign against the Hawke Government. Which resulted in the first Guild-Government Agreement for the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).

From 1990 to 2010 he served as an elected Branch Committee Member on the Victorian Branch of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia and from 1996 to 2005 served as an elected National Councillor to the Pharmacy Guild of Australia.
